Ms. Alison Lund, M.M., is an exceptionally creative, flexible and enthusiastic teacher, who balances high expectations with a gentle and engaging approach.

A Manhattan School of Music graduate, Carnegie Hall teaching affiliate, and Royal Conservatory of Music certified elementary specialist, she is a committed music educator offering over 15 years of experience and innovation.

As a professional pianist, singer and composer, Alison has performed in a myriad of styles in a multitude of venues, including Carnegie Hall & Lincoln Center. Her broad range of musical interests and experiences brings rich perspective to her piano classes- her teaching is firmly grounded in rigorous Classical tradition, but is anything but traditional!

The Royal Conservatory Music Development Program is central to her curriculum, providing a recognized international standard of musical success through an effectively sequenced course of study.  Her students consistently achieve honors results, win Tri-State awards, and perform at awards ceremonies at Carnegie Hall.  Other student accomplishments include NYC Piano Teacher's Congress honors recitals; Steinway Rising Star of Broadway finalists; and admission to the NYC Professional Performing Arts School.

Ms. Alison illustrates perfectly the difference between a piano player who gives lessons, and a top-notch teacher specializing in piano and musicianship.  She has a fun and exceedingly pleasant manner while being supremely competent, so the kids respect her and want very much to meet her expectations. Good teachers in any subject are hard to find, and this one is certainly one of the very best. - Jon Avins

Ms. Alison teaches in a systematic, logical manner that has resulted in beautiful music and improved our daughter's self confidence. She has supported our daughter's efforts to be a songwriter and done a lot of extra work to expose her to different musical styles and the performances of more advanced student pianists. - Susan Keith
